Zeus – adopted!

Meet Zeus – he is one heck of a cat!  This older cat has been seen around campus for years now, and it shows. He’s covered in scars from his time on the streets, and some of his teeth are missing or broken. He is really warming up to us – he’s been in foster care since April. He purrs and rubs on people constantly and cries when he is ignored. Zeus has turned out to be a terrific love bug! He loves being petted, and is learning to hop into laps. He follows his foster mom around the house at her heels, looking up at her like an eager puppy. He is a BIG cat – very large and muscular, with huge paws. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and is negative for FIV/FeLV.

We took Zeus for a second checkup to make sure that with all of his scars that he’s healthy. The vet found a slight heart murmur, which should probably be investigated at some point, and one of his teeth may need to be pulled in the future, although it’s not bothering him now. He is in remarkably good health and body condition, especially considering his rough past. We’re not really sure how old he is – 5-7 years, maybe.

We think Zeus deserves a life of luxury and relaxation! He is fine with other cats (mostly ignores them when they hiss, but will occasionally return a well-deserved swat). Let us know if you are interested in giving him the life he deserves!
